Kindergarteners are preparing to use the Arts Design Cycle to create their very own instruments from found items.

We were fortunate enough to take a little field trip to the Secondary Design building and hear from a real live instrument designer, Mr. Kennedy. He showed us some of the instruments he has designed and explained some of the most important parts of some kinds of instruments.

We learned about the process Mr. Kennedy uses and gleaned some very exciting ideas for our first stage of the design cycle: Gathering Ideas.

For the next couple weeks we will be gathering, developing, sharing and refining our instrument ideas. Once we have created our instruments we will begin putting together a concert for you. You can look forward to our performance after spring break.
