KG - Powerful Patterns

Patterns are everywhere! The kindergarteners have been finding examples of patterns in every facet of their lives. They are on their clothes! They are on their dinner plates! And they are definitely in music. We are discovering that we organize music using patterns and patterns help us to create our own music, be it instrumental, vocal, or movement.

This week we created our own rhythm patterns using colored blocks as guides and we will continue using patterns to create melodies and movement. Stay tuned as we begin to apply our learning to preparation for our Winter Concert. It's going to be a busy few weeks!
