Grade 2 sings "Lavender Blue"

Grade 2 students have been practicing singing songs and rounds a capella (without accompaniment). They are currently working on a unit called "Rhythm and Meter" and they have been using their listening skills to see if songs they sing and hear can be grouped in 2s or 3s. Grade 2 students decided that "Lavender Blue" is definitely grouped in beats of 3s! Enjoy as you hear each class sing the folksong "Lavender Blue."

2H also used their puppets from drama to aid their vocal pitch exploration at the beginning of class and they exhibited creativity when they made vocal sounds to match their puppets:
